I have not login to WordPress for a while and today i noticed that they have upgraded their site. Not bad, more functions i shall say.Interesting.

Anyway, yeah, have been trippin’ as have blogged before. Was back from Paris last week on the 5th. Stayed at home in the Hague for 3 days and went to London on the 8th. Reach back home again this morning. Busy busy and quite exhausted, but it was fun nonetheless.

Was in Paris for 3 nights. Paris is beautiful. So beautiful it made me feel like going again, even it is going to be the 3rd time. Now i can admit to what people say about the city. If you asked me which city is a must-do when you are in Europe, Paris will definitely be one of it. It is a huge city so its advisable that you allocate few days for it.

The whole first day we took a red bus tour around the city. Its a hop on, hop off ride, and it was valid for 2 days. Its quite a good way to explore, as it also provides English commentary on all the top sites. Paris is rich with its historical sites, and also beautiful architecture. I can say most of the buildings there has a beautiful French touch of its own. I just love the view of the city with the Eiffel Tower rising high, oh how i wish i could express it with words. Sangat lawa OK!

Second day we had a whole day of fun at Disneyland Paris. It has 2 parks now, the Disneyland and Walt Disney studios. For a one day trip we just had to be smart on choosing the rides. I can say we covered all major attractions, especially the new ones at Walt Disney studio. My personal favorite would be Rock and Roller coaster - this one is with high speed, and Aerosmith jammin’ in your ears all ride long. Awesome!

After Paris, we departed for Germany. Papa have booked a hotel by the Rhein river in Boppard. Its a very small suburban town right by the big river. Frankly we had no idea where it is, and thanks to the GPS ( people call it TomTom over here), we found our way. I just know that the Rhein river actually runs from the Alps and ends in Amsterdam and into the sea. I should have paid better attention to Geography before. Heheh. There we took a cruise from the Boppard to Koblenz, while enjoying the spectacular view of the old castles on the hills around it ( did i say that the we were in a valley?). Just in case it does not sounds familiar, these towns are actually nearby Koln (aka Cologne) Germany. On the way home we stopped by this town to take some pics at the Koln Dom, and the Hard Rock Cafe.

Before reaching Boppard, we also had time to stop by Luxembourg. Its a very small country here in Europe. The basic layout of the country is that the old town is in a very deep valley, and the new town is build on the hills surrounding it. Expect high rise bridges in this country. Took a one hour ride on a choochoo train around the old town and basically covered the major sites already. Heheh.

Its getting long, this post. So i stop here. There is London and more Holland to talk about, so i will make it as the next post.

Aah, my jetlag is still with me. I slept very early last night, and i woke up at 5am.

Yesterday we were in Amsterdam. To be precise, at the town center. I really like the architecture of the buildings here, every building has a similar touch, but unique at the same time. Compared to Switzerland, i personally like this country better.

Of course when you are in Amsterdam, you wont miss two things when you are walking by the streets. The very open promotion of sex and marijuana. They sell it like candies! There are even cannabis lollipops, tea, coffee. And not to forget the obscene pictures by the shop windows, displaying openly just like election posters.

Got the chance to enter Madame Tussauds at last, i figured that i might as well go to Amsterdam’s rather than the one at London. Plus Akila also wanted to go in, so i managed to get a ’sponsor’ from Papa. Heheh. One entry would cost you approximately €20 for adults, and €15 for child. Only we both went in, the others did not. Its the Pirates of the Carribeans season, and there was a wax figure of Captain Sparrow. Inside there were quite a lot of famous figures, including Justin Timberlake, and Lady Diana. Its a good thing that they allow cameras inside, so me and Akila snapped our way throughout the walkabout. Heheh.

After the town center and Madame Tussauds, guess where was the next place? Red Light District. I think we should not miss it, as it is after all one of the main tourist attractions of the city. I had an early description of how the place looks like, and indeed it was true. Girls in boxes, wearing lush lingeries, dancing away, trying to attract attention. It was not so bad, not a dark place or someplace that will intimidate you. Only that of course, don’t dream of taking pics coz they will stop you. Haha.

The walk around the city was tiresome, and we all headed off home after about 4 hours. Today, we are heading to Paris. And on the way, maybe we will stop by Luxembourg. This will be the second time we go to Paris. The first time was not so good as it was too cold and cloudy, and its hardly enjoyable. I cant wait to visit the Louvre museum, and of course the Eiffel Tower.

Have been busy for the past few weeks. Work, of course. And also preparing for my Eurotrip. Havent said much about it before but Alhamdulillah, i have arrived safely to The Hague, Netherlands,along with my 2 bros.

We arrived around 5.30am (local time) , and now i am adjusting myself to the weather and the time. Its about 14 degrees here, quite cold and windy.But its sunny and not a bad day to go out, says my parents. The house is beautiful, its a semidetached, with a compact built, and its supercozy. oh i wish i could live here a lil longer.

Lunch was mama’s cooking of course, have been months since we tasted her cooking. We had a nice family lunch - with lamb chops and fried rice for the menu. Yum! One definite thing that will happen throughout these 2 weeks - i will ruin my diet. Hopefully i wont gain too much when i get back to homeland. Aiyak!

Its quite nothing much to do indoors, so me,Akila and Aderi went out to the lake nearby. Very nice scene, with wild ducks and flowers blooming. Oh have i mentioned that the tulips are blossoming too? Yeay! Mama kept a nice garden out in front and i cant wait for them to completely bloom.

Then we went shopping. Oh, or shall i say, accidental shopping? Actually i was meant to accompany my mum to buy some food out at town, but i ended up shopping. Aha. I purposely did not bring my Euro notes but wth, i cant help buying =P. Bought a pair of boots, Morgan Love de Toi perfume set and nice piece of shirt. All for €50.

So i read in cyberspace,i hear people talk and comment, i ask and i think.

Thats what i can do so far. And thank God i did not vote, because if i do its just out of nothing.

In the next GE, i’ll make sure i do and make sure i do it with a purpose.

Anyway, just my own view, there will always be black dots in any Government. All we do is pray and hope for the best. We never know better.

On a lighter side, i came to find out that DSAI said he’ll send Najib as the ambassador to Mongolia, if he became the PM.I find it really funny.

Btw,i am happy that Khir Toyo is out.

I have been cooking every weekend lately. I find it as a very good way to spend my weekend, and at the same time enjoy home cooked meals. Sometimes i get very tired of eating outside. Sometimes i do not even know where to eat anymore.

Last Saturday when i was browsing through my cookbook, i found a recipe on Pandan Chicken. Looks so yummy,i decided to have a try.

So, i rushed to Pantai Selamat near home to buy the ingredients, and stopped by Dhuha’s house to get free pandan and curry leaves. Since her house has a big garden at the backyard, its no wonder how the landlord managed to plant a very big curry tree, few lengkuas tree, few pandan bushes and a lemongrass tree. Best kan? Previously when i was renting the same house, i tried to plant spring onions, but it ended up being cut off by pakcik Velayan, the gardener (or pakcik potong rumput). I expected it anyway, because we had a bad habit of calling pakcik Velayan when the grass already reach our thighs. Eheh.

Anyway, when i cook, i cook big portion. And of course i cannot finish it on my own, so i called people to dine. Cewah.Macam gempak je. So it was me, Diyana and Dhuha, and a nice home cooked meal for lunch. Thanks to Dhuha who brought the rice.

Not bad for a first try. Heheh. My stomach is growling. Lapo la pulak….

It’s the last week of February. Time flies. So fast, sometimes it makes me feel afraid to blink my eyes.

Anyway, it’s dusty in here I think I could asphyxiate. Eheh. So, I think I will start “cleaning-up” with some random thoughts I am having right now…

• I am watching Ghost in 8TV right now, and it occurs to me that maybe ghosts these days are as sophisticated as we are. They can surf the net! (Well, at least this particular ghost does). Come on la…sangat tak lojik

• Malaysia Decides 2008. I have registered as a voter, but I am not sure whether I will be where I am supposed to be on the 8th. According to http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/, i am voting in Putrajaya. Reason why I am so unsure is : one, I do not even know who is the candidate. Two: I am not feeling like traveling at that time, and three: I kinda know that my potential party to be “pangkah” will win. Haha. Macam aku ni tau sangat pasal politik. I am 24 this year, but why oh why, I still do not bother to ambik tau.

• American Idol 7 is on the run, and I officially love and adore David Archuleta. Apart from his beautiful voice, he is oh-so-cute and adorable. Hopefully he makes it to the finals. And Michael Johns is super hot with his Aussie accent and some hint of rock in his image. The ladies? Ramiele Malubay may have made my list, so does the gothic nurse (I forgot her name). Both have their own unique style, which I think is one of the important things that a singer should have.   

• I haven’t talked about my new year’s resolution right? Well, let me just say that one of it is to keep fit. To be more specific is to lose at least 5kgs, and make sure that I am within the ideal Body Mass Index. Plus, I have to join at least one kind of sport, which may be Futsal. Or maybe I can hit the gym. Still thinking actually. Futsal, gym or yoga or hip hop class? Kahkahkah. Banyaknye! Ok la, the point is I need to keep fit. Fullstop. Soo…as a part of the effort of keeping fit, i went jogging today. Alone, yes, but that does not bother me as much as how I was so breathless after running just 50 meters! Wish me luck guys. I have another 10 months to make sure I achieve this.

Here are a few shots after jogging today evening. Location: Taman Bandar. Somewhere near Indera Mahkota and Bukit Istana. Not bad. Really nice lake and family oriented environment. There are always a lot of people so I don’t worry much when jogging alone.

  

Here are some pics from the futsal tourney. Well, as we just made our debutant, its acceptable to us that we did not make it to the finals (just 2 trainings, what do you expect?)

Basically we had a good game, but the weakness that i identified is mainly lack of stamina. Looks like we have to start building it if we decide to join another tourney.

Anyway, it was F/U/N, nevertheless. To summarize, we had 1 win,2 draws and 2 loses.

I am all geared up for the tourney tonite. Eventhough i know that i am not up with the stamina and the skills. Suke hati je suruh aku jadi striker. Main hoki dulu pun aku jadik wing je.

Anyway, i admit that i am excited. It has been long since i felt the dread, the hollow pit in the stomach before having a match. Back then i even felt like barfing myself up. Now i am feeling it again.

But its beautiful nonetheless. At first its tense, but once you are in the field you just go with the flow. And when you win, thats a bonus. If you lose, well, you can always try again. Its just a game anyway.

So, as a part of getting ready for the game, i have bought myself a beautiful pair of NIKE Tiempo’s. Considering that i have a high chance of continuing with the team, i think i might as well invest in a pair of futsal shoes. It was love at first sight, and now its mine. Cewah~

Wish me luck people. Hehe. Oh and btw, the team name is REAL BRUNO (as in Dhuha’s cute cat Bruno). I have a strong feeling that Shahreen was the one who suggested the name, since she is Dhuha’s housemate. Heheh.

Do i need to create the “hate programming” function? 

There is something about programming that really doesnt appeal to me. I just dont know exactly why.Maybe its because of the huge amount of logic thinking that it requires.

I hate logic. Heck i did not even study that topic in Add Maths. I did not choose to answer the question.I hate puzzles, and yes, i do not give a damn to answering riddles. I am a shortcut person. I like to know the answer first then only i think about how it came out. Am i weird?

Funny thing is right now i am stuck in a training that requires me to do a lot of programming practice. Arghh. Dahla duduk belakang sekali. And there is one girl in front of me who just happen to be a genius with it. It really makes me feel worse when i realize that maybe i was the only one in the class who is very lembab with that subject. At the end of the day i feel like my brain is going to explode.

However,i know i have to learn it. By hook or by crook i am expected to be good with it when i return to office.

p/s : Thank God i am staying at a hotel which has a shopping complex next door. Watching CLOVERFIELD tonight. Looks interesting. Hopefully.

Apabila sudah lama tak update, masalah saya ialah saya tak tau nak cerita apa.Padahal dlm interval itu, saya byk terpikir tentang macam2 perkara.Banyak kali terfikir untuk menulis tapi tak kesampaian jugak.

Kenapa?

Kerana di ofis (di mana satu2nye tempat saya boleh dapat internet connection yang bagus) saya sangat bizi.Walaupun lepas pukul 530 petang.Last week saya pulang pukul 9 malam.

Kerja macam saya ni banyak masalahnye. and problemnye. source dia macam2.system, users, people.tapi setelah setahun kerja macam ni saya rasa manusia ni memang susah nak handle.tapi bila bercakap dengan big boss saya kena translate benda tu sebagai challenge. supaya saya tak terkantoi yang saya ni sebenarnye bukan incredible hulk yang boleh buat semua benda.kenapa saya nak sembunyikan masalah saya?because sekarang ni saya kena maintain kerja yang saya tak passionate sangat ini, supaya saya bolehbayar kereta,rumah,pakaian dan makanan yang saya perlukan untuk buat kerja ni jugak.

Sangat ironi.

Setelah setahun di alam pekerjaan,sekarang saya sudah mula terhidu dan terlihat bayang2 of the other side of working life.Apabila benda2 macam ni berlaku di hadapan mata sendiri, its hard to keep closed eyes and deaf ears.

Mat salleh kata “Its a dog eat dog world”. Sometimes you just cannot trust anybody. Everything is about taking care of your own a**. Push the problems to other people, find someone else to blame. People are doing it all around me.

Now i see. Seboleh2nya masing2 nak mencuci tangan, nak sabun and kalau boleh nak pakai disinfectant sekali.

I hate this world. But heck,i need to live in it.

Lantas semakin kuat azam dalam diri untuk satu hari nanti menjadi surirumah professional sahaja. Biarlah kalau tak dapat jadik career woman pun, director mahupun CEO.

Tapi perjalanan ini masih jauh. Banyak yang perlu dicapai sebelum saya menjadi surirumah professional. Sebelum menjadi seorang Martha Stewart melayu.

Maksud saya surirumah professional bukan bermaksud katak di bawah tempurung, tetapi seorang perempuan yang matang dan penuh ilmu pengetahuan. Surirumah bukan bermaksud senang diperbodohkan atau diperlekehkan. Mungkin akan datang ada satu generasi surirumah yang maju dan berjaya. Just like those people in black suits sitting on top of a tower.

Mungkin satu hari nanti, apabila sudah sampai threshold meluat saya terhadap dunia pekerjaan yang penuh udang di sebalik batu, saya akan jadi seorang Martha Stewart melayu.
