Adventure wanted,adventure granted.

By now probably most of you have known that finally, something is cooking in my oven. We came to know about the good news last week, but i have decided that i will save some time before i announce it to the world.

Oh well i figured that it is ok to let people know now, at least i get more well wishes and prayers right? šŸ™‚

So here is the adventure of 2010. Another milestone in our livesĀ has been hit,Ā right on time.

We are going for our our first prenatal checkup tomorrow.

Can’t wait šŸ™‚

p/s : I am this close to opening a new blog for my pregnancy, but at last i think i will just shareĀ my journeyĀ here. I am such a blog addict huh?

Bagaikan Sakti

Ok remember about the M Nasir 1 Wajah Concert we bragged about? Screw that. He is ditching us and performing in Singapore instead! With Siti Nurhaliza some more!

Concert 1 Wajah entah bila lah pulak. Looks like we have to reclaim the money we paid for the front seat tix.

Haruslah takde kesempatan nak pergi kan? Nasib baik ada Astro. Because we are both a big fan of M Nasir and Siti Nurhaliza, we are soooo subscribing to ABO Events.

Seb baik RM10 je.

The Crib Project: Twilight and Moving

Ok I know I am being wayyyy behind on this Twilight frenzy, but yeah, I finally watched the movieĀ onĀ Star MoviesĀ last night. In a nutshell:

  1. Edward Cullen is mysterious, and by not talking it makes him more interesting (I have this thing about less-talking guys, so am I letting myself into the Cullen Club now?)
  2. The soundtrack is awesome especially during the part when Bella discovers that Edward is a vampire.
  3. I love the baseball scene. There is something cool about vegetarian vampires, baseball, thunderstorm and a Muse song.
  4. I feel like reading the book now (because previously I had an idea that it is just a typical vampire story suck blood, whatever)
  5. It is a teenage genre actually, but there is something interesting about Stephenie Meyerā€™s story telling (well at least I think so).
  6. I can watch New Moon now.

BackĀ to real lifeā€¦.

Moving day is this Thursday. Our current house is an M to the ESS. Seriously, packing a double storey house is exhausting, man. Glad we are moving into a cozier one-storey crib.

And I discovered that I have way too much junks in the house, especially plastic and paper bags. I am so putting away the plastic bags (so much of trying to be an eco-friendly person). If there is one thing this home move taught me, it will be never ever stash too much things ā€œyou-know-you-are-not-going-to-need-it-but-you-still-keep-it-just-in-caseā€. Trust me, the case rarely happens.

Lastly, electrical and lighting is finishing today (hope so). Hubby is supervising it, and I canā€™t wait to see the results. I think we both haveĀ an obsession with lights ;P.

The Crib Project: Checklist!

Just bought this book, and i think it pretty much helps me with something i talked about previously.Am at the middle now,and its a real page-turner.

The Crib project is progressing a lot these days,so does the cash flow. When you get your own house you want it to be perfect, but along the way you will learn that dreams do not come true overnight. So now i have to learn to prioritize (eventhough honestly, being the usual hasty me,means its a pain in the a**).Hubby had to bear with my hastiness quite a few times, and for that i am so sorry.I am trying my best to make do and be patient.Huhu.

Just a small checklist to share, maybe it helps when your turn comes soon šŸ˜‰

1) Grill
2) Lighting
3) Movers
4) Curtains
5) Security (keys,padlocks,etc)
6) Update mailing address (to banks, insurance, membership, etc)
7) Utilities (Water,Electricity)

IMPORTANTE but not a priority yet!
1) Kitchen Cabinet
2) Wardrobe
3) Rewiring
4) Paint
5) Laundry area renovation

1) Garden
2) Built in bookshelf
3) TV Rack
4) Other additional furnitures

I made my own Excel worksheet for the progress, which also helps a lot with the planning.

Bukan senang rupanya nak masuk rumah baru. Will update again soon! šŸ˜‰

Mixed Emotions.

Parents are coming back home for good very soon.

One of the girls,Mira,is getting married next week.

Hubby has a manual lense from FIL’s old Pentax, but it snaps beautiful photos.

Learning to take nicer pics now.And learning to edit them to be even nicer.

Hubby passed his exam!

We are closing the deal on the house this Sunday.

Hubby has agreed that we will have a cabinet for the kitchen. So glad that getting a less than RM10k budget cabinet is still possible these days.IMPIANA Sept told us that.

I bought myself a TEFAL food steamer with a great bargain (that was an impulse-purchase)

Am waiting for hubby to come home.10 days together during last raya holidays was the longest time we spend together so far.Made me miss him even more.

…and its raining most of these nights.

Attending many weddings this October month.Cant wait to shoot pics and meet people that we have not met for some time.

Company Annual Dinner is coming soon in November.Theme: Back to School. Now wth? What should i wear??

Yes,its just the beginning of the month and yet i found out that i cannot simply spend anymore!

Mr Boss is leaving the department.Getting a new boss now, he was a colleague who got promoted. So i reckon things will go well.Hopefully.

Yet another earthquake occured again last night.Double the trouble.Triple the devastation. My prayers to the victims and their families.May they recover quickly. And may we learn our lesson from this episode, again.

After a leisure drive of Kerteh-KL, I picked up Yuni dear from her outstation meeting in Subang and for the first time we try a bite of live poetry performance, Malam Puisi Utusan (MPU) held at Laman Santai, Istana Budaya.

Prominent literature figures that performed last night were Pyan Habib(marvellous performance), Datuk A. Samad Said (Catakserukin is so true), Khalid Salleh (so provoking) and some artists like Mila, Hujan, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Hafiz AF, and also some other figures like astronaut-2-be Mejar Faiz, the one with tukang karut voice (he might be a tukang karut after all, his poems were performed in dikir songs), this professor with keris and patriotic poem, and that datin not-so-familiar.

The turnout was nice with some small stalls around serving drinks and light supper servings.
The hosts that night was Mr. Sabri Yunus and Mek SPT. I learnt a poem too last night, a one liner poem from Sabri Yunus,

Tuhan tidak pernah mahu kita merdeka.

-Sabri Yunus-

Last night was a surprise i keep for Yuni, just to see how much she bite into poetry icing. After an hour and 30 minutes,
..but she survives till the late supper filling, Kopratasa,
..with this for you deary yuni,

Permata (Untuk Isteri Ku)

Ku ingin kau jadi wanita mulia
Yang tahu harga budi dan hati
Seorang lelaki bernama suami

Kerana engkau isteri
Ku ingin kau mengerti bahawa hidup ini
Tak semudah yang kita janjikan
Yang kita janjikan
Kerana kau isteriku

P/s: i NEED a long zoooom lens now..

You cannot go wrong with..

Friday night eat out

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning. It has not rained for a while but today it finally came.At least it makes the weather feels cooler than few days back.Seriously,it was so freaking hot, i popped so many ulcers in my mouth.Ugh.

Since we got married, me and hubby still have to live separately during the weekdays, because of our work location. So not cool, but for the moment we have to bear with it. So Friday’s a good day to go out and grab some dinner together. Maybe we could make it a habit, bee? Friday night out,you and me. Hehe šŸ™‚

Just want to share another great location for eating out in Kuantan, especially when you feel like having a homemade pizza. Good spot for a date, family gatheringĀ or just hanging out with girlfriends (so when’s the next one, girls?)

Featured Eat SpotĀ : Crocodile Rock, along Jalan Teluk Sisek (in front of Annexe Guest House,Kuantan). Owner is a Malay guy, married to a Mat Saleh lady…but i am not sure where she is from. The ambience is very cozy, the couple did a great job of converting an old government quarters into a restaurant. They have live band every Thursday night too, and lots of painting by a Malaysian artist, Ismadi. (Note : Correct me if i am wrong.heheh.)

So if you drop by Kuantan, you may want to try it! Oh btw, its closed on Mondays šŸ˜‰

Crocodile Rock Pizza and Grill
Pepperoni Pizza (hubby's favourite)
Pepperoni Pizza (hubby's fav)
Spaghetti Bolognese (was craving for this)
Spaghetti Bolognese (was craving for this)
Caesar Salad (i think the dressing is homemade. Sedap gile!)
Caesar's Salad (sedap gile ok)

Can’t wait for this :

I am a huge fan of Dan Brown, and i cant wait for theĀ movie rendition of his novel, Angels and Demons. The book was superb, but i hope the movie can level it. Eventhough The Da Vinci Code was not as perfect as the book, i still keep a positive mind on Angels and Demons movie.

We’ll see.

p/s: It reminds me of my own IlluminatiĀ ambigram that hubby (used to be my bf :P)Ā created for me, few years back. Check it out in my old blog :
